Then images you're about to see all take place in Savannah, Georgia. Savannah is a place that is very dear to me. It's where I learned about love and heartbreak, discovered the importance of friendship, failed, succeeded, and failed again. Most importantly, I began to document the "pre-nostalgia" I had as my time in Savannah came to an inevitable end. These photographs show the unforgettable people I met while working at the same restaurant all those years, my talented group of friends who still mean the world to me, the locals who are some of the kindest people I have met, and the unforgettable environment--from the lasting hand-painted signs to the eccentric architecture that is pertinent to the South. As I documented these things, Savannah began to change. The unregulated use of Airbnb's has broken up neighborhoods of local Savannahians, and caused the rent to skyrocket. Real estate developers began bulldozing beautiful fields and old buildings to erect apartments meant for the white and wealthy. Views that were once Spanish Moss, are now skyscrapers. Through all of this change, the character of Savannah seen through these photographs remains the same.
